Alexander Roof Overhang Truss

The Alexander Residence is one of the prestigious volumes of 2017. Mr. Alexander and his family requesting a lovely overhang in the mountainous region of the Beverly Glens, to the resemblance of a heart shape, to share the valuable times together per the rooftops of the forest and lakes.

Because of plausibility of the Los Angeles basin to create and fabricate a climatic shift, accompanying the advent of the ASCE 7-16 application of atmospheric pressures changes, to achieve a manufacturer level shop drawing, I brought the concept into the 3-Dimensional Analysis module by IES, Inc [Montana], verifying the wind profiles deformations in a means of attaching a timber truss structure (or better). The verticals of the walls from the lower level in the figure below, are steel, while the upper level walls are Engineered sheathed timber bearing walls. I was convinced that the steel verticals would be necessary to rigidly restrain the deep overhang.
